Effects of peripheral nerve injury

Tingling
sensations such as tingling. Similar feeling to pins and needles

Numbness
when there is no sensation to a part of the body

Unusual sensation
this could be similar to pins and needles but experienced when clothing is put on.

Burning pain
this is quite a severe sensation felt

Muscle weakness
Loss of sensation will result in muscles not functioning correctly as messages aren’t sent to them

Impaired sense of position
not knowing where the position of the body part is.
